I have just a few updates and since we’re traveling and have been driving for I don’t even want to think about how many hours, I want to make this short.
Left Pennsylvania on Sunday… here’s a shot of my mom, Adam, and I before we went to my cousin’s wedding on Saturday.

My mom said the sun was shining in her eyes and that’s why she didn’t look happy in the pic. She’ll prob be mad I posted this one, but OH WELL! I got that nice breeze blowing in my hair look haha. Can you beat that? Now how often does that happen naturally?
We’ve been through several states already and right now I’m in Keystone, SD – we’ll be visiting Mt. Rushmore tomorrow.
Passed through Chicago yesterday…

Then we hit over 1000 miles traveled!

Drove by to see the Corn Palace in South Dakota. I REALLY wanted to go inside but we were there 10 min past closing
Maybe next time. So cool the building looks like its made from corn husks!

South Dakota is BY FAR my favorite state on this drive so far (still behind Oregon and New Hampshire though). I know I want to come back again and see EVERYTHING since we don’t have a lot of time on this trip. Gorgeous!

Then Adam and I spotted last minute a scenic overlook on HWY 90 in South Dakota and ran to take this photo before the sun set over the prairie. Long day of driving, but totally worth it to see this gorgeous country…

Now what you really want to know is, what the heck am I snacking on on the way out West? Because honestly, the food options are slim to none… I don’t even want to talk about what I’ve been forced to eat and mix and match at rest stops and hopefully now that we’re by Mt. Rushmore this adorable town will have some great lunch and dinner options.
But as for snacks, I LOVE Mary’s Gone Crackers.

Being Celiac Awareness Month, talking about Mary’s Gone Crackers is also totally appropriate!!
They have gluten free crackers, pretzels, and cookies that are delicious and perfect not only for road trips, but parties, snacks, and more!
These are some of my favorite pretzels…

Here’s just a few of the delicious flavors they have:
- Curry Pretzels
- Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
- Black Pepper Crackers
- Onion Crackers
- Chipotle Tomato Pretzels
- Caraway Crackers
I think my favorite of each are the Curry Pretzels, Ginger Snap Cookies, and the Herb Crackers, though all of them are perfect. The oatmeal raisin cookies especially are really soft and chewy and very cinnamony and I couldn’t put them down!!
The crackers and pretzels are a great flavor and would be perfect for parties with a selection of different dips! Adam loves them too and you know all gluten free snacks ALWAYS have to pass the Adam test.
I actually think he may have eaten more of our Mary’s Gone Crackers road trip stash than I have!! Though, I actually ate about half the box of the herb ones with goat cheese! Oops! Don’t tell anyone!!
What’s so great about them is that they have such real flavor. They’re not dusted with flavor like most crackers, it’s baked in and you can actually taste the fresh herbs and spices.
They’re crunchy and delicious and what’s also great about all their snacks is that they don’t have that icky gluten free taste. If it didn’t say “gluten free” you wouldn’t even know.
The pretzels are a little crunchier than a normal pretzel, but they taste great!! Def pick some up next time you’re shopping so you can test them out and of course, try them at your next party or event. If you’re not sure where they’re sold, check out below….
